January 2012.
After a year of preparation and slightly delayed by the long formation of the government in Belgium, the license to operate as a guarding firm has been granted to Brink’s Diamond & Jewelry Services. This spin-out of the former Brink’s Belgium operates at the Zaventem Airport for all valuables cargo. They also take care of the majority of the transports of valuables to the BruCargo site from inland origin and destination. A large focus exists on the diamond trade in Antwerp, that is the reason for the name. In the last year and over, I have taken care of the majority of activities to obtain this license and others. Some of them have been awarded, others are in the process.
The overview of required licenses:
- guarding (FGS Internal affairs)
- regulated agent (FGS mobility, BCAA)
- transport commissioner (FGS mobility)
- transportation of goods national and international (FGS mobility)
- guarding Luxemburg (MoJ)
- guarding Netherlands (MoJ)
